I’ve spent a good chunk of my 30 years on this earth on the hunt for peace. I’ve spent the duration of heart-to-hearts waiting for the feeling of an inner harmony to give me the green light to share a much-needed, “Me too, girl.” I’ve wasted away the sweetness of new relationships by looking for some sort of divine confirmation that this love was right.

I’ve gone through stages of seeking peace as a sea...

Let me start by saying this: I've been you. Like 40 million times. I've been you.

It’s hard isn’t it? That glowing brick of anxiety that you’re holding — the one your fingers tip-tip-tap on, your thumb in a constant state of swiping up and down and left and right — it can have a wicked sort of hold on you sometimes, right?

But let’s cut to the chase and get quick to the point: You and I both know we’re not talking about the phon...

A note from Diana: The below is an excerpt from my book, Don't Just Deal: Going from Surviving to Thriving When Everything Changes. It is Day 7 of the 30-day devotional written for those of us who are enduring change, have endured change or will endure change. Basically, it's for all of us. You can read more about the heart behind Don't Just Deal here or you can buy your copy on Amazon here.

Every now and then my mind tries to trick me into believing that I'm still that girl.

Sometimes it's when I least expect it and others — it's right on time.

"Don't do it. You'll get too anxious."

"Just make up an excuse and cancel. What if you have a panic attack while you're there?"

"Play it safe, D. You need a little more time on the other side of this thing before you try anything too bravefor your own good."

I've shared this pa...

I went to a small Christian university about an hour and a half southwest of Charlotte, NC. It was nestled deep in the heart of a one-stoplight town between the World's Smallest Post Office and a coffee shop that made chai lattes straight from Heaven.

It was the kind of place where everybody knew everybody — and even if you didn't want them to — everybody knew you and your business.

Can you picture it?

For the four years I w...

I've gone up one — if not two — pant sizes since my wedding day in May 2016. If I'm being honest, I'm not entirely sure I would even be able to zip up my wedding dress if I tried it on right now. In fact, I went from not being able to fit into my clothes because they were falling off of me in the months leading up to our wedding (because of stress), to not being able to fit into my clothes because they don'...

So — what's the big deal about identity? What's the hubbub about this whole "your identity is in Christ" thing? Why does Because I'm His put so much emphasis on belonging to God and being His? Aren't I my own woman? Isn't it biblical to be independent and strong?

We get it. We hear you — and you know what? We are so stinkin' glad you asked.

Let's role play for a second, shall we? Let's pretend you're at a friend's hous...

This little piece of the internet has been a dream for a while now — but it was one that was a little bit terrifying to step into. Because I'm His was born out of darkness. In the middle of a crippling season of anxiety and panic, our founder do the only thing she knew do: She turned to the Lord.

She didn't do this to be holy.
